The 2009-2010 season will be Cedar Crest’s 12th year of competition as a pure team in the CPIHL. The Falcons have enjoyed some success in the past, winning an Eastern Division title in 1998, and the Commissioners Cup during the 2003–2004 season. This year the Falcons will be looking to first year head coach Tony Horacek and his assistants Kirk Hughes and Kerry Hartman to lead the team to a successful season.
The coaching staff will benefit from an experienced Senior class that includes six returning Varsity players; Keith Lear, Drew Gingrich, Sasha Neufeld-Kreider, Kyle Clements, Jeffrey Miller, and Zachary Donnachie; in addition to two Seniors, Craig Hartman and Cody Mitchell returning after a one year absence.
Joining the Senior class will be Juniors Colby Drahovsky, Dennis Goodstein, and Sean Kemp; Sophomores Ryan Zinn, Derrick Truax, and Kody Bell; and Freshman Nicholas Horacek. Sophomore Adam Wills will be between the pipes for his second Varsity season.
The addition of fourteen 6th graders into the organization, and the formation of a JV program for the first time in the Club’s history have created a sense of optimism and excitement for the future of the Cedar Crest Ice Hockey Club. |
