The Central Dauphin Rams are one of the original “8” Varsity Teams in the CPIHL, whose inception was the 1994-95 Season. The Rams have, over the years, established a fine
winning tradition, including winning the 2001-2002 Tier II Viola Cup. The following season the Rams moved up to their permanent home at Tier I and have since been perennial contenders for the Bears’ Cup.
This Season is the first full Season for Coach John Parker, as the Rams Head Coach. He is looking forward to the 2009-10 Season, and the challenge it brings to accomplish his and the Team’s goals this year.
This year’s squad is comprised of Goaltender, Junior Kevin Consevage, who, with another year of experience and some good clinics, continues to improve and looks to
be solid in net for the Rams. On the Blue-line, are returning Senior Jason Lapano and Juniors John Nielson and Scott Chiavetta. These 3 experienced players will anchor
the Rams defense. Joining them will be newcomers, sophomore Colin Denver and Freshman Evan Williams, both of whom, with their talents, will complement the other 3 defenders quite well, and bolster the Rams’ defensive effort.
Offense looks to be solid as well this year. The Rams have many of their Forwards returning and with another year of experience for them, along with some quality newcomers, look to be able to put the puck in the net this year.
One of the main Offensive impact players will be Senior Brock Judd. His knowledge of the game and increased size and speed will definitely help the Rams’ offense this
year. Joining Judd in the Offensive effort are Seniors Brendan Lutz, Mike Thomas and Jesse Thomas (not-related). More Offensive good news is in returning Juniors Christian
Bost and Kyle Bowman, who also appear to have elevated their game, along with newcomers Colin Hoy, who previously only played Travel hockey, and Colin Fincher. Returning Sophomores, Zach Kenno and Ben Mariano have grown and have another year of experience, and both look to make a significant contribution to the Offensive output this season. Sophomores Tim Johnson, Adam Tipple and Alex Raptapolus may get some ice time, to exhibit their talents, this season as well.
On paper the Rams look to be solid this year and should be competitive enough to make another good run at the Bears Cup. The key to their success this season will
be how well they play together as a Team, throughout the season and the Playoffs.
Coach Parker, his Coaching Staff, and the Team believe it can happen and are working hard for the Rams to achieve their goals this season! |
