Media Guide
2009 - 2010 will mark the 8th consecutive season for the Warriors program. Last year saw head coach, Bill Wood, take the reins from founder Gerry Kemper and placed a heavy emphasis on team unity and individual responsibility. The JH program blossomed under his tutelage [winning 9 games a best for the club] and the Varsity, while its record was somewhat unspectacular, was perhaps the closest Warrior team yet [making the playoffs for only the second time in club history]. This, and the fact that goalie TJ Abshagen will be entering his 2nd year in net, gives us high hopes for the new season. Joining Coach Wood behind the bench will be assistants Dan Tomanio, Mike Stackhouse and our resident Goalie Guru and Warrior alumnus, Tyler Stackhouse. New to the bench will be Coach Intern Ryan Abshagen.

This year the defense will be anchored by senior Jon Yoquinto with a strong supporting cast of juniors, Phil Tomanio, Zach Wood (a multi-record holder for the Warriors) and up and coming sophomore Zack Ruhling. Offensively, the team rolls out seniors Ian Edwards (another record setter), Cory Allen, Evan Schmitz and Tom Stacharowski, juniors Cal Stackhouse (3rd in York, 8th in the league for points last season) and Doug Tomanio. New to the program are forward Paul Young, two way player Kiah Wood and our most attractive member by far, Miss Brooke Edwards. In net, after his baptism under fire in 2008/2009, TJ Abshagen.

Each of us hope and expect to make this a championship season but however things fall we guarantee it will be some hard-hitting, high-intensity, Warrior Ice Hockey.

Come join in the fun!
