OBJECTIVE
It is the objective of the
CPIHL to provide timely and accurate results of League games for the
purpose of preparing up-to-date Standings for all Divisions within
the League. It is expected that access to this timely information
will promote enthusiasm in both coaches and players in playing a
"key game" and will heighten the interest level in spectator
attendance at games.
CLUB RESPONSIBILITY
Each Club must identify an individual
(and an alternate if desired) for each team (Freshmen and Varsity)
fielded by the Club. That individual may be the same for all teams
if the club desires. Game Results will be accepted only from a
designated Club individual.
PROCEDURE
Following the
completion of a League game, the designated individual for each
team playing in the game is responsible to report the scores of
the game. While this may seem a duplication of effort, the intent is
to increase the accuracy of the scores reported. It is highly
desired to have the score reported as soon after the game as
possible, even that same night.
The score shall be reported
via E-mail to Dennis Brightbill at dennisb@landex.com.
In the Subject area of the E-mail, identify the Level and Game
Number; e.g. Varsity - Game Number 225
Result
In the Text area of the E-mail, identify the
teams and their respective scores. e.g. Susquehanna
Twp - 4 Etown/Donegal - 4
Every effort will be made to update the web site's Game
Results and Standings pages within one or two days of receipt of
game scores. The bottom of every Game Result and Standings page on
the web site contains an identification of the date and time of the
scores that are included in the respective pages.
NOTES
This procedure is in addition to and DOES NOT REPLACE the CPIHL requirements of
sending scoresheets to the appropriate individuals within the CPIHL
and within the time frames established by the CPIHL.
Beginning with the 1999-2000 season, the scores and
standings reported on the web site are the Official League
Standings.
